Also as part of the celebrations for the 51st anniversary of 25 April 1974, we are delighted to announce the latest work by Argentinian-born, Brazilian-based filmmaker, writer, poet, theatre-maker and social activist Carlos Pronzato.

50 years on, Capitães de Abril (April Captains), activists and social actors of the time, historians, academics, journalists and researchers are part of the cast of this documentary that aims to revive the memory of popular struggles in times of the new rise of the right in the world. (90 minutes).

Direction, Screenplay and Production: Carlos Pronzato Carlos Pronzato (Buenos Aires, 1959) is an Argentinian-born filmmaker, writer, poet, theatre-maker and social activist living in Brazil. A multifaceted artist, his audiovisual, theatre and literary works stand out for their commitment to culture, memory and popular struggles.
