🗓 Date: 22 January

🕕 Time: 6:30 p.m.

📍 Location: ACM Noble Hall – Coimbra

The Association of Former Students of Coimbra (ACM) is promoting another Ocaso Conference, on the theme:

‘The 25 April Documentation Centre at the University of Coimbra: from “its own” archives to “everyone's” archives’, with the participation of Maria Cristina Vieira de Freitas, Director of the 25 April Documentation Centre at the University of Coimbra (CD25A-UC).

Throughout its 40 years of existence, CD25A-UC has assembled a vast and diverse documentary heritage, essential for the study of the history of Portuguese democracy and the history of Portugal in the 20th century, with special emphasis on the last five decades.

In her presentation, Maria Cristina Vieira de Freitas will provide an overview of the Centre's collection, with quantitative and qualitative information on the different archives that comprise it — from its documentary diversity to its organisation, availability and role in the preservation of memory, heritage and information management.
